The Ris Hi-Mod is the ideal system for pre-construction survey work and sub-surface mapping. With an adjustable antenna array of between 1 and 4 dual antenna carts the Ris Hi-Mod can go anywhere and achieve a mapping speed of up to 3500 square meters per day. GRED processing software offers a variety of visualisation options, 2D line scans and slice views, 3D anotations and export to a variety of popular CAD systems.

Data Collection
Data is collected in two directions, this is due to the fact that GPR information is polar i.e. a GPR scan only picks up a utility travelling in a perpendicular direction to the scan. By scanning in two directions i.e. Longitudinal and transverse, targets in both directions are located.

The distance between and the overall length of the longitudinal and transverse scans determines the quality of the finished image. There is a trade-off between the time taken for scanning and the quality of the finished product. A happy medium is attempted to provide useable data.
