Current Location: Products / Concrete State Testing
For precasters, contractors and consultants there are many times when temperature, humidity (moisture content) and crack width need to be measured. These instruments have been selected as they provide highly efficient means for accurate measurement by untrained staff.

The concrete maturity method is a proven strength estimation technique (ASTM C 1074) that accounts for the effects of time and temperature on the strength development of in-place concrete. The intelli-rock loggers are a small cell, smaller than a 35mm film canister, which contains a battery, logging chip and thermistor.

I ntelliRock Temperature Loggers can measure and document the temperature profiles and gradients of in-place concrete. Since a large number of sensors can be used with a single on-site reader, detailed temperature profiles can be easily and cost-effectively generated. IntelliRock’s software tools also make temperature analysis and reporting a snap.

IntelliRock Wireless is a recent development from Engius which allows for remote monitoring of intelliRock Loggers. Working inside familiar software users can start loggers, monitor maturity and temperature on a job site and with IntelliRock LIVE this data can even be accessed from any computer and many smartphones.

Hygropin comes with a small, fast sensor making it the perfect solution to identify and monitor moisture in concrete quicker and easier than ever before. The Hygropin provides the smallest available sensor on the market, minimising damage to the surface and reducing the installation efforts immensely. Due to the small air volume of the test sleeve, the humidity equilibrium process is extremely fast.

Moisture is critical during the curing process since water is responsible for the hydration processes that give concrete its strength. Moisture also plays a huge part in the integrity of coatings on concrete. intelli-Rock relative humidity (RH) loggers can be used to monitor the moisture conditions in concrete placements including slabs, walls, and bridge decks.

The DEMEC Deformation Gauge shown here consists of a standard or a digital dial gauge attached to an Invar bar. A fixed conical point is mounted at one end of the bar, and a moving conical point is mounted on a knife edge pivot at the opposite end.

Strain is defined as the ratio between the length of an element before and after a force has been applied to it. In concrete strain can be seen in the change of concrete or reinforcing steel due to temperature, curing and forces applied during its use.
