The following collection of equipment is for associated applications (i.e. Paper Roll Hardness, Coatings, Seals, Pre-stress Wiring and Screeds) and materials (i.e. rock, paper). They all offer the same high level of quality and utility as the rest of the PCTE's range. Some equipment such as the Joint Seal Vacuum Chamber and the Equotip for Rock are specific application currently being developed by PCTE and hence are unique to the PCTE range of NDT.
/Products/General-Testing/PaperSchmidt/Image-1.aspx) PaperSchmidt is the first rebound hammer designed specifically for roll hardness testing. A new measuring principle and a high compliance plunger provide roll-profiling accuracy and repeatability that was unachievable before now. In addition to this it has an extended lifetime to cope with the heavy demands of the paper industry and dedicated tools, such as pre-defined tolerances that make assessing a profile a simple matter.
/Products/General-Testing/Screed-Tester/screed-tester1.aspx) The BRE Tester is designed to measure the soundness of a sand / cement floor screed as early as 14 days after laying. The device consists of a 1m long, cylindrical guide rod, along which an annular weight of 4 kg (or 2kg) travels when released. At the bottom of the guide rod the weight strikes the collar of a case-hardened steel anvil which transmits the impact to the selected area of the screed.
/Products/General-Testing/Coating-Thickness/coatthick1.aspx) Concrete coatings are commonplace in industrial and commercial. Specifications usually call for a minimum coating thickness. This ultrasonic device provides a non-destructive means for determining coating thickness insitu. It is also useful for checking coating thicknesses on wood, plastic.

Joint sealants have a high likelihood of local imperfections causing local leakage paths. A vacuum is formed in a chamber above the joint and detergent used to locate possible leaks in the bandage.

The instantaneous results that can be stored and saved on the indicating device. Whilst designed and used to determine the hardness of metal a new application in determining the UCS and logging rock core sample is becoming popular.
