Latest Generation Utest Compression Testing Machines
Utest and PCTE are constantly improving our product offering, with a number of small changes improving the usability, cleanliness and function of our popular Compression Testing Machines.
The following article looks at a few of the key changes in the compression frame, power pack and control panel for the current generation machine.
U-Touch PRO Control Unit
The control unit allows direct access to all test and calibration parameters.
Its specimen setting sub-menu support cylinder, cube, block, beam, splitting tensile, paving block and kerb flexure tests, provided the right frame and/or accessories are used.
A Digital graphic display of the unit can draw real-time "Load vs. Time" or "Stress vs. Time" graphics.
Main Features of the control unit are as follows:
- 4 analog channels for load cell, pressure sensor or displacement sensors.
- Provides load control of two separate testing frames with Closed-loop PID.
- Real time display of test graph
- Backup and recall option for device settings
- Easy recall of embedded test parameters for different types of tests and sample sizes
- LAN connection for instantaneous transfer of test data to PC or remote PC control
- USB port support for the transfer of test data to a flash drive
Testing Frame
The new Piston cover in the standard compression frames ensure all broken materials and dust are kept away from working components and can be quickly swept away.
Compression frames are supplied with sufficient spacers to test samples as small as a 100 mm diameter cylinder sample, but should be ordered with one additional spacer for 50 mm cube testing.
Power Pack
The UTC-4830FPR Automatic Hydraulic Power Pack, dual stage, controlled by U-Touch PRO Control Unit is designed to supply the required oil to the load frames for loading.
