UTCM-0003

The UTCM-0003 Le Chatelier Flask has been designed to measure the density of:

  • Hydraulic cement
  • Ground granulated blast-furnace slag and fly ash for concrete
  • Filler aggregates
  • Lime

The glass flask has a 250ml capacity. The neck is graduated from 0 to 1 ml and from 18 to 24 mL in 0.1-mL graduations.

The Le Chatelier Moulds and Soundness Kit (along with the UTCM-0016 Le Chatelier Water Bath) is used to measure the soundness of cement, fly ash for concrete and lime.

Le Chatelier Water Bath

The UTCM-0016 Le Chatelier Water Bath is used with Le Chatelier moulds to measure the soundness of cement paste fly ash for concrete and lime. The internal chamber and the insulated exterior case of the bath are manufactured from stainless steel. The bath uses two heater units to reach boiling point within 30 minutes. The apparatus includes a timer which can be set to the time at which boiling point will be reached. Once the time has passed, the temperature of the water is regulated by using one heater, which will conserve energy. The water bath apparatus includes a removable rack which can hold up to 10 moulds. The bath is also supplied with a cover.
