UTAS-0045 Vacuum-Pyknometer

The UTAS-0094 Heavy Duty Vacuum Pyknometer is used to measure the theoretical maximum specific gravity and density of non-compacted bituminous paving mixtures. The machine is used with other apparatuses such as a vacuum pump, vibra-dearator, vacuum gauge and filter flask to complete the rest. The machine can also test things such as percent air voids in compacted bituminous mixtures and the amount of bitumen absorbed by the aggregates. The Pyknometer is made from transparent plastic.

The Heavy Duty Vacuum Pyknometer is supplied complete with:

  • Vacuum Gauge
  • Rubber Tube, 6.5mm ID x 16.5mm, 2m long
