Penetrometers are used to determine early compressive strength of cement, grout and concrete materials using a sprung plunger.
Determining the setting time of fresh concrete, cement and grout for use in the field and laboratory can be easily completed with the use of the Concrete Pocket Penetrometer. The stainless steel plunger has a measuring range of 0-5 MPa and a 32.3 mm² area. The plunger is graduated to 0.5 MPa.
The setting time of the mortar fraction of fresh concrete can be determined when using the Concrete Mortar Penetrometer. The Penetrometer is graduated from 40 - 600 N and is supplied complete with interchangeable needle points and a carrying case.
